Doctors at Bayanzurkh Hospital went to the wards without masks
December 22, 2020As of 11 a.m. yesterday, a total of 62 cases of infection have been reported from Bayanzurkh district hospital. Doctors and inpatients were isolated at the hospital, and 141 children and adults were transferred to the isolation ward yesterday. Currently, a total of 85 people are separated in the district hospital.
Citizen E, isolated at the Bayanzurkh District Hospital, was contacted and clarified about the hospital’s condition.
-When were you admitted to Bayanzurkh district hospital?
-I was diagnosed with cerebral ischemia and was admitted to Bayanzurkh district hospital on the night of December 12 (December 12, 2020) for brain treatment. However, a few days after his hospitalization, he was hospitalized and isolated. The situation here is challenging. There are men’s and women’s bathrooms. Toilets are the main route of transmission.
-How long have you been in your room?
-Three in a double room. One is a guard. Three people are in the ward where the outbreak is registered. The internal situation of the hospital is, of course, challenging. Food, sanitation, and cleaning are inferior. Now we are in custody. We do not consider this situation as isolation. There is no sanitary protection here. In some cases, some patients may be in the room with a caretaker or five.
-How many times were the patients tested?
-The second re-test was taken yesterday (December 21, 2020). The first test was negative.
-Is the treatment going on naturally?
– No, it’s not. Treatment was stopped after December 17. The treatment of those who slept in the room was also killed. In general, doctors do not seem to be careful and do not intend to treat. I only have a few grandmothers who have heart problems and brought them from home.
-How is the hospital disinfected and cleaned?
-It has been getting better for the last 2-3 days. Most of the cleaning is done by wiping or spraying with liquid.
-141 people were transferred from Bayanzurkh district hospital to a detention center. Why weren’t you moved?
-I don’t know well. I think it will be transferred for a repeat test result. It was like isolating patients, doctors, and workers and transporting them to the Central Military Hospital. I started moving a lot of cars two days ago.
-How many times a day do doctors and medical staff come to the room?
-I didn’t come in. Only a caregiver would go in, wipe the floor, and take out the trash. Yesterday, the doctors and nurses who worked here changed their shifts.
-What was the situation like when you first came to the hospital? How well did the infection control regime work? Also, did you get tested by people who came to bed?
-When I first arrived, I was not tested. I asked a question and felt a fever. In general, almost all hospital cleaning and disinfection is zero. Room cleaning and disinfection are inadequate. Not to mention the dirty mess in the bathroom. Rather than blaming the medical staff, there are some stupid people among the patients and patients.
The most important thing is to pray that I don’t get infected. If the initial test were negative, the risk would have been lower if the patient had been transferred to an isolation ward immediately for further testing. The feelings of the isolated people here are burdensome. This confinement in a filthy environment is a significant loss to us.
-How many times a day does the hospital provide food and drink?
-At 9 a.m., black tea, boortsog or rye, rice, and millet porridge are served. Day bantam, flour soup, buckwheat porridge, 2nd course. In the evening, soup is done. The food is low in nutrients. No food was given to support the immune system.
-How do patients manage their hygiene by restricting circulation?
-Since the infection, we were given four pieces of toilet paper and two napkins. There is nothing else to talk about. The mood is very heavy. I am terrified that if I don’t get infected, I will get sick. It’s like people in isolation, walking in a blazing fire.
